The Springville Tigers hit the track once again and brought home an impressive collection of first, second, and third-place finishes at the Lake Guntersville Invitational. With dominant performances in sprints, distance events, relays, hurdles, and field events, both the girls and boys teams made their mark in a big way. Here’s a breakdown of the action.


👟 Girls’ Highlights

Our Lady Tigers turned up the heat in both the sprints and the relays, with three podium finishes and multiple top-ten performances.

🥇 First Place

  • Alexius Mostella stole the show with two gold medals, winning:
    • 100m Hurdles with a time of 16.55
    • 300m Hurdles in 48.26

🥈 Second Place

  • The 4x800m Relay Team clinched 2nd place with a strong 10:54.75 finish.

🥉 Third Place

  • The 4x400m Relay Team sprinted to a 3rd place finish in 4:33.56.

Additional Top Performances

  • Alexius Mostella also placed 2nd in the 100m Dash (12.82).
  • Ella Colley came close to the podium, finishing 4th in the 400m (1:06.01).
  • Gabby Stone placed 4th in Discus (101-0) and 5th in Shot Put (28-7).
  • Zuriah Jacobs earned 4th in Shot Put (29-0).
  • Amya Mostella placed 8th in the 200m and 9th in the 100m.
  • Carmen McMaster and Adalyn Seigman took 6th and 7th, respectively, in the 3200m Run.

💪 Boys’ Highlights

The boys came through with three podium finishes, including a massive throw in the javelin and strong showings in the relays and distance events.

🥇 First Place

  • Jackson Gatgens dominated the Javelin, launching a throw of 151-3 for 1st place.

🥉 Third Place

  • Brayden Chandler had a strong day, finishing:
    • 3rd in the 800m (2:05.70)
    • 3rd in the 1600m (4:42.60)
  • The 4x100m Relay Team took 3rd with a time of 55.19.
  • Jackson Gatgens also placed 3rd in Discus (121-7).

Additional Top Performances

  • Tate Milstead placed 5th in the 400m Dash (53.34).
  • Van Stewart earned 5th in the 1600m Run (4:52.85) and 8th in the 800m.
  • Ryan Freeman had solid throws, finishing 5th in Discus and 9th in Shot Put.
  • Brayden Marlow and Logan Stuman secured top-11 finishes in the 3200m.
