Springville High School athletes competed at the AHSAA Lincoln Sectional (5A) on April 25–26, 2025 for the right to go to the state track meet in Gulf Shores
From sprints to throws to distance events, the Tigers left their mark with a string of first, second, and third-place finishes that helped power their team to an impressive overall showing.

🥇 First Place Finishes:

  • Alexius MostellaGirls 100m Hurdles (16.15)
  • Carmen McMasterGirls 800m (2:27.83)
  • Gabby StoneGirls Discus Throw (105-02 / 32.05m)
  • Boys 4x800m RelayTeam (8:33.48)

🥈 Second Place Finishes:

  • Alexius MostellaGirls 300m Hurdles (48.84)
  • Tate MilsteadBoys 800m (2:01.33)
  • Adalyn SeigmanGirls 3200m (12:42.51)
  • Jackson GatgensBoys Javelin Throw (151-05 / 46.15m)

🥉 Third Place Finishes:

  • Brayden ChandlerBoys 1600m (4:40.07)
  • Carmen McMasterGirls 1600m (5:39.93)
  • Ryan FreemanBoys Discus Throw (116-03 / 35.43m)

Other Notable Performances:

  • Alexius Mostella also finished 5th in the Girls 100m (12.96) after qualifying from prelims.
  • Tate Milstead placed 5th in the Boys 400m (53.15).
  • Gabby Stone added a 5th place in the Girls Shot Put (32-07.00).
  • Both the Boys and Girls 4x400m Relays finished strong, with the boys taking 5th (3:36.61) and the girls grabbing 4th (4:29.77).

Final Thoughts:

Springville’s athletes showcased incredible depth, talent, and heart across the board.
Special shoutouts to Alexius Mostella for her two event wins and dominance in hurdles, and to the relay teams for crushing it on the track!
From the sprint lanes to the distance races and field events, Springville Tigers are looking primed for a big postseason.
