Tigers have strong showing at sectionals

Springville High School athletes competed at the AHSAA Lincoln Sectional (5A) on April 25–26, 2025 for the right to go to the state track meet in Gulf Shores
From sprints to throws to distance events, the Tigers left their mark with a string of first, second, and third-place finishes that helped power their team to an impressive overall showing.

Here’s a breakdown of all the podium finishes:

• Alexius Mostella – Girls 100m Hurdles (16.15)
• Carmen McMaster – Girls 800m (2:27.83)
• Gabby Stone – Girls Discus Throw (105-02 / 32.05m)
• Boys 4x800m Relay – Team (8:33.48)

🥈 Second Place Finishes:

• Alexius Mostella – Girls 300m Hurdles (48.84)
• Tate Milstead – Boys 800m (2:01.33)
• Adalyn Seigman – Girls 3200m (12:42.51)

• Brayden Chandler – Boys 1600m (4:40.07)

Other Notable Performances:

• Alexius Mostella also finished 5th in the Girls 100m (12.96) after qualifying from prelims.
• Tate Milstead placed 5th in the Boys 400m (53.15).
• Gabby Stone added a 5th place in the Girls Shot Put (32-07.00).
• Both the Boys and Girls 4x400m Relays finished strong, with the boys taking 5th (3:36.61) and the girls grabbing 4th (4:29.77).
