The Springville High School cross country team is off to a blazing start this season, turning in back-to-back standout performances in their first two meets. With a combination of top individual finishes, team depth, and consistent improvement, the Tigers are showing they mean business this fall.

In their season opener at the Large School 5K, both the boys and girls teams made a strong statement. The girls were led by Carmen McMaster, who finished 18th with a time of 21:15, followed closely by Adalyn Seigman, Kate Hale, and Lily Langley—all finishing in the top 40. The boys were paced by Brayden Chandler in 24th place, with teammates Brayden Marlow and Jaden Hall close behind. With several athletes placing in the top half of the field, the meet was a solid first outing that set the tone for the season.

The momentum carried into the second meet, where Springville truly dominated. Carmen McMaster took 1st place overall, clocking a winning time of 21:42, while Elisabeth Hoffman and Adalyn Seigman finished in the top 10, helping the girls team make a strong team push. On the boys’ side, three runners—Brayden Chandler, Van Stewart, and Brayden Marlow—all placed in the top 10, leading a deep field of Tigers who packed the top 35.
With strong leadership from returning runners and promising results from the full roster, both the boys and girls teams are proving to be contenders early in the season. The Tigers have hit the ground running—literally—and all signs point to an exciting cross country season ahead.
