Tate Milstead Breaks School Record in the 800m Indoor Race

Springville High School senior Tate Milstead made history at the Last Chance indoor track meet this past weekend, delivering a stellar performance in the 800-meter run. Milstead not only secured a 5th-place finish in a highly competitive field but also broke the school record with an impressive time of 2:01.23.

The previous record of 2:03.38, set by Houston Colley, had stood since 2023.

Indoor Teams Compete at Last Chance Meet

On January 25, 2025, the Springville High School track and field team competed at the Last Chance meet held at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.

Girls’ Events:

  • 60 Meter Dash:
    • Alexius Mostella clocked in at 8.43 seconds, securing 30th place in the finals.
    • Rebecca Sierra finished in 8.61 seconds, placing 43rd.
    • Cierra Dodge completed the race in 9.49 seconds, landing 74th place.
