Indoor Teams Compete in Ice Breaker Meet

The Springville High School track and field team delivered commendable performances at the Ice Breaker meet held on January 4, 2025, at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.

Girls’ Team Highlights:

  • 60 Meter Dash:
    • Alexius Mostella clocked 8.46 seconds, securing 53rd place in the finals.
    • Cierra Dodge finished in 9.60 seconds, placing 111th in the finals.
  • 400 Meter Dash:
    • Trinity Bentley achieved a time of 1:13.24, earning 79th place in the finals.
  • 800 Meter Run:
    • Carmen McMaster finished 25th with a time of 2:43.66 in the finals.
    • Felicity Bentley secured 28th place, clocking 2:48.43 in the finals.
    • Lauren Smith completed the race in 3:16.88, placing 53rd in the finals.
  • 1600 Meter Run:
    • Carmen McMaster excelled with a 10th-place finish, recording a time of 5:42.06 in the finals.
    • Felicity Bentley achieved 24th place with a time of 6:13.60 in the finals.
  • 60 Meter Hurdles:
    • Alexius Mostella finished 16th in the finals with a time of 10.09 seconds.
  • Shot Put:
    • Aubrie Hammonds threw a distance of 20-10.75, earning 42nd place in the finals.

Boys’ Team Highlights:

  • 60 Meter Dash:
    • Allen Springer finished 80th in the finals with a time of 7.54 seconds.
    • Evan Green clocked 7.84 seconds, securing 102nd place in the finals.
    • Blake Davis recorded a time of 7.87 seconds, placing 106th in the finals.
  • 400 Meter Dash:
    • Tate Milstead achieved 37th place with a time of 54.16 seconds in the finals.
    • Jayden Hill secured 66th place, finishing in 56.96 seconds in the finals.
  • 800 Meter Run:
    • Hunter McAvoy finished 27th in the finals with a time of 2:15.17.
